Cast from nature - a sterling silver Poppy Pod Bracelet.
This bracelet features a large poppy seed pod crown - the detailed, star-shaped cap that keeps hundreds of poppy seeds inside the seed pod.
The Poppy is best known as a symbol of remembrance & hope but is also a Birth-Flower for the month of August in the UK. 
 
Materials:
Sterling silver. Polished to a shine - this is eye-catching & star like.
 
Dimensions:
The poppy head is approx 22mm diameter & bracelet can be ordered at various lengths.
The front & reverse of this Poppy Crown are both detailed with textures.
 
How it's made:
In the Autumn I collect dried seed-pods from my garden - this one was a perfectly formed Opium Poppy (Papaver Somniferum) which I cut from it's pod to cast into silver. A mold is made and repeats are made in London using the ancient art of lost-wax casting. The castings are then returned to my workshop in Pembrokeshire, where they are tidied up and fittings soldered on.
 
Presented in an eco gift-box with a little polishing cloth inside.
