The magical Orchid - from the beautiful British Marsh Orchids in meadows to the tropical Orchids suspended in air, with no need for soil - there are around 28,000 different species worldwide. 
 
Materials:
Sterling silver flower pendant &  sterling silver curb chain.
 
Measurements:
The flower measures 14mm diameter & the curb chain can be ordered in a variety of lengths.
If it's a gift & you are unsure of what length to choose, the most popular lengths are 18" or 20".
The inner petals curve inwards, giving the pendant a sculptural feel & the finish is a soft polish rather than a high shine, highlighting the natural textures.
 
How it's made:
I made the original Orchid by sketching a shapes onto sheet metal & hand-sawing them out. Each layer was then soldered together in stages. Repeats of this model are then made in London using the ancient art of lost-wax casting. My castings are then tidied up & finished back in my Pembrokeshire workshop.
