The magical Orchid - from the beautiful British Marsh Orchids in meadows to the tropical Orchids suspended in air, with no need for soil - there are around 28,000 different species worldwide.

The flower measures 8mm diameter.
The inner petals curve inwards, giving them a sculptural feel & the finish is a soft polish rather than a high shine, highlighting the natural textures.
These are eye-catching but also perfect for every-day wear.
 
How it's made:
I made the original Orchid by sketching shapes onto sheet silver & hand-sawing each petal out. Each layer was then soldered together in stages. Repeats of this model are then made in London using the ancient art of lost-wax casting. My castings are then tidied up & an ear-post soldered on, back in my workshop in Wales
