Inspired by the the Lotus' symbol of purity, rebirth & resilience, this extraordinary aquatic flower grows it's roots in the murky water depths but rises out & blooms above, clean & bright. Lotus petals have a microscopic texture that repel dirt & water giving them the Lotus Effect in the botanical world.
The Lotus is the national flower of India & Vietnam and sacred to both Hindus & Buddhists.

Stick Pin is sterling silver 1.2mm thick wire about 55mm long.
How to wear it:
This pin is fastened with a simple push-on stopper. It can be attached as a decorative accessory to a lapel, scarf or a structured hat - or anything else you wish!
How it's made:
The original model was made in 3 sections of opening petals that were cut from textured silver sheet and soldered together. A mold was made so that perfect repeats can be made using the ancient art of lost-wax casting (this bit is done by casting experts in London). Back here in Pembrokeshire, I tidy up the Lotus casts and solder a hand-carved pin to the flower.
