The Daffodil is Rock Rose's original jewellery design, created back in 2008 as a gift for her Welsh mother, with Daffodils being a Welsh emblem. Many happy stories & sentiments have been shared since then, about this happy little flower, that brings joy to many.
Daffodils also symbolise new beginnings and are the birth flower for March.
Materials:
Sterling Silver flower & stem with a silver plated push-on stopper.
Dimensions:
Flower: 13mm diameter
Pin is 1.2mm thick & about 55mm long.
How to wear it:
This pin looks great attached to a lapel, a tie or a structured hat - or simply pin it to anything you wish to accessorise!
How it's Made:
The original Daffodil was handmade with silver clay, in the actual size it is now. The clay is left to dry & then fired to a solid silver state. Repeats are made of this design using the ancient art of lost-wax casting (this part takes place in London by expert casters). When the flower is returned to my workshop in Pembrokeshire, it's tidied up & a handcarved stem is soldered on.
Part of collection of Daffodil jewellery with matching pieces...
